Brian has made it his goal to bring the world of fitness to as many people
as possible. He has been working out since the age of 10 when he started running
school marathons with his father. “I fell in love with fitness when I realized
how good it felt mentally to accomplish something physically.” From there,
he progressed to sports, weight training, and finally making it his life’s
passion.
Brian grew up in Las Vegas in the casino industry. After operating two small
casinos for nearly 12 years, he witnessed on a daily basis the damaging effects
of what living an unhealthy lifestyle had on his customers. “ I would
watch people that I came to know and love, destroying their bodies with alcohol,
smoking, fast food, and the stress of winning and losing. I decided that I did
not want to be a contributing factor to the deterioration of people’s health.” Brian
left the industry in search of a way to help people live healthy, rewarding lives. “Fitness
Together is a vehicle for me to bring the trainers and clients together to achieve
their goals and better their lives. I couldn’t imagine a more gratifying
way to live my life.”
Veronica Hilas
General Manager
Veronica began working in the fitness industry about 8 years ago in a small
martial arts studio. It was there that she realized the magnitude of the positive
impact she was having on people’s lives and chose to walk away from the
Corporate World to follow her lifelong passion in health and fitness. Veronica
is not only highly qualified and certified in martial arts and kickboxing but
currently holds National Certifications with National Academy of Sports Medicine
and International Sports Science Association. She is also a Certified Health
Counselor through the Teacher’s College of Columbia University and is certified
as a Holistic Health Counselor under the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.
Veronica, who has been featured in “New York Scene Magazine”,
is known for her wide range of clientele, with a special interest in helping
people with obesity. She is determined to motivate and educate people about proper
exercise, eating habits and overall health. Most recently, she has been single
handedly selected to work with Barbizon Modeling of San Diego as their trainer,
in order to prepare the IMTA (International Modeling and Talent Association)
for their next big competition this summer in New York. She’s taken an
active role in educating young models and actors on how to treat their body’s
right and achieve their fitness goals safely and effectively.
Ricky
Mitchell
Certified Personal Trainer - Rancho Santa Fe
Ricky fell in love with fitness at the age of six, when his father brought
home a small weight set in which he began teaching himself from an old Charles
Atlas pamphlet back in the 60’s. By an impressive age of sixteen, Ricky
was offered his first job as a Fitness Instructor. It was evident that he had
found his calling. Ricky has been helping people achieve their fitness goals
ever since.
As a competitive gymnast, Ricky not only earned himself a College Scholarship
but an Olympic invitational tryout. A Texas Tech University Graduate with a Bachelors
degree in Exercise and Sport Science, he continued with post graduate work in
Education and also certified himself as a Personal Trainer under the National
Strength and Conditioning Association.
After 35 years of Personal Training, Ricky is more passionate than ever about
spreading the word, “that it is never too late to perfect your body and
health!” At 40, Ricky was the winner of an all Natural over forty bodybuilding
competition. Now at 50, Ricky is in the greatest shape of his life and is determined
to compete again!
Patrick Crook
Certified Personal Trainer – Rancho Santa Fe / Carmel Valley
Patrick has been involved with health and fitness throughout his entire life.
Whether coaching children in track and field, helping them exceed their sprinting
limits or training athletes for overall improved competitive performance; it
has always been Patrick’s passion to be in the fitness industry. His personal
athleticism and conditioning in sports, especially in football and water polo,
has given him the ability to motivate and push his clients past their expectations.
Patrick graduated with a B.S. from Embry-Riddle University and currently holds
a Personal Trainer Certification under the National Academy of Sports Medicine
(NASM) as well as being certified as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). He
is also currently pursuing a Strength and Conditioning Certification.
Patrick’s undeniable charisma shines through in his training style.
He ensures through focus and determination the expectations of his client’s
needs and demands. Always focused on the individual’s goals, he utilizes
through proper technique a safe and effective exercise routine. Patrick’s
personal goal is to educate people about health and fitness in a fun yet challenging
environment!
Nick Brown
Manager - Del Mar
Nick started his career as a personal trainer 7 years ago while attending
Keene State College in Keene, NH, where he earned his degree in Exercise Science.
Nick has honed his skills working for large companies such as Golds Gym and
Texas Instruments, where he designed and implemented exercise routines for everyone
from college athletes, businessmen and businesswoman, post rehab patients, and
anyone looking to improve their health and fitness.
Nick has been a member of the Fitness Together team since August of 2005.
Nick believes his success as a personal trainer is attributed to a strong work
ethic, a true desire to help his clients, and a strong educational background.
Dustin Davis
Certified Personal Trainer - Del Mar
Dustin is certified under N.C. C.P.T. (National Council for Certified Personal
Trainers) and is a Certified Massage Therapist for over 7 years. He is currently
working on his National Academy of Sports Medicine and Cross Fit Certifications.
Dustin is also going to school for Exercise Physiology and Nutrition.
Dustin’s greatest accomplishment has been his own personal challenge
and journey. Through years of studying the human body, he developed a growing
passion and understanding for health and fitness. This passion inspired him to
drastically change his own lifestyle, resulting in a personal weight loss success
of over 80 pounds! Today, Dustin is even more passionate to help educate and
motivate his clients in seeing their ultimate potential! His natural ability
to work with people makes him an exceptional Trainer. He advocates that, “Stimulating
the body awakens the mind and spirit”, and “with the right tools,
EVERYONE can live a happy and healthy lifestyle!”
Michelle Carbone
Certified Personal Trainer - Del Mar / Carmel Valley
Michelle’s heightened interest for fitness was sparked three years ago
when she was introduced to Bodybuilding. She fell in love with the physiological
aspects of fitness while learning how to apply different styles and techniques
of weight training to perfect her own body. In May of 2008, Michelle put her
knowledge and hard work to the test and competed in her first Figure Competition
for Bodybuilders.
After leaving her first love of teaching elementary school students, she became
Internationally Certified as a Personal Trainer. Michelle’s belief was
to combine her love of teaching with her love of fitness. Why couldn’t
she teach others to be healthy and fit? Something she had become determined to
do throughout the rest of her life. She is dedicated to teaching and informing
clients about smart nutrition and exercising the right and effective way. Michelle
has recently become involved with the modeling agency Barbizon and is helping
train and guide young models through their passion in life.
Scott
Baker
Certified Personal Trainer -Del Mar
Scott has been a professional in the fitness industry for many years. He holds
a Personal Training Certification with National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)
and is also certified in Gravity Pilates. Although in San Diego for only two
years, his reputation as an exceptional trainer has already followed him all
the way from New York.
His personal creative style helps to keep his workouts fresh, challenging
and exciting. Scott’s ultimate goal is to have his clients return with
a smile, and more importantly, committed to making positive changes in their
lives. His personal guarantee to each of his clients, regardless of fitness level
is, “You WILL feel great and have FUN!”
